Your Self Confidence

Self-confidence is a special trait that Spirit has given to each and every one of us. Its purpose is to help us face our life’s challenges. If you were fortunate enough to grow up in a supportive family, you have strong self-confidence. If your family system wasn’t supportive, your confidence needs work to establish a strong foundation.

An optimistic attitude is essential to your self-confidence. It will help you learn from your mistakes and recognize that everything in life can be used as a life lesson.

Tell yourself that you can do anything you want to. Start today to build your self-confidence and your sense of empowerment.

It's About Self-Nurturing

Is it hard for you to take care of yourself? If you’re kind to yourself, your creativity might begin to blossom. In order for that to happen, you’d have to take a risk and test yourself. But, if you’re “busy,” that’s understandable (#irony).

Leaps and strides toward authenticity take place in small steps. Leo Tolstoy believed that True life is lived when tiny changes occur. It’s imperative to do periodic self-assessments to determine how good you are to YOU!

No one else can do this but you! Make a list of 10 nice things you could do for yourself. Do one of them at a time and see what happens. You have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain by self-nurturing.

Preparatory Steps

Before any artist begins a project, they take preparatory steps to get “ready.” You don’t do your best without preparation.

Preparatory steps are necessary if we want to live authentically. Every 24 hours, you are given a fresh canvas to prime and create. Anything that involves quieting the mind and FOCUS, leads to a quality PROJECT.

Be in the moment on a daily basis. Don’t rush your day; relish it. LQQK for the “good stuff.” Some of it might be small. Don’t worry ALL of it will add up to a monumental moment of
CREATIVITY!

An Artist "Creates!"

Every day, you’re given another opportunity to embrace the newness in your life. It could be ANYTHING. What’s necessary is that you’re AWARE of it!

Take a risk EVERYDAY that makes you feel STRONG AND POWERFUL. Take a risk to change your life. Think of yourself as a work in progress. ALL art and artists have “risk” embedded in them. The beautiful, authentic life you’re creating for yourself is ART.

Pick up your brush and create a vibrant, personable canvas.

What Do You Want? What Do You Need?

Do you have everything you need right now? There are only a few of us that have everything we want. At times, our wants become ever consuming. Our sensibilities become confusing and we become overstimulated.

If you’re going to live a happy and creative life, it’s important to distinguish between your wants and needs.

Make peace with the idea that you can’t have everything you want. It’s more important to get everything we need. Just like babies, we’re content when our basic needs are met.

Ask yourself what will truly make YOU HAPPY. The answer will be different for everyone. Trust your heart and your instincts. It’s only when you identify and acknowledge your inner needs that you can access the creative energy that you need in your life!

Looking At Happiness

I’ll be happy when I get married.
I’ll be happy when I lose this weight.

I’ll be happy when I leave this job.

Why not make happiness a habit right now? Putting off your happiness is not healthy for any of us. Yet many of us put it off for another day.

Start a new habit and acknowledge each day as a gift. I know this sounds like a cliché but recognizing the good is the best approach to a healthier life-style.

Your happiness isn’t a luxury. You HAVE to pursue it. Happiness can’t be realized unless you commit to it. It HAS to be a goal!
