You And Your Spirit (Part 25/end)

Living a FULL life is a choice. It's a conscious choice not to settle for anything less than. It's a choice to  take risks and test yourself. Most importantly, it's a choice to celebrate! A FULL LIFE is meant to celebrate:

  • Who you are
  • Where you've been and what you've learned
  • The love you have
  • The blessings you've received
  • The moments of joy
  • Everyday miracles
  • New (and old) friendships
  • The challenges of faith
Celebrations are simple. You start, by setting time aside to embrace them. Make the time special. Create a time and space in which to give thanks. Create an atmosphere that is conducive to rejoicing!

In family, friendship and marriage, these mini-celebrations can give you a real boost. They can lift your spirit and restore your soul. They can bring back your energy and enthusiasm. They can rebuild your hope. These celebrations can be as short as 5 minutes, or as long as 5 hours. What IS important is that you make time for them. YOU AND YOUR LIFE ARE WORTH IT!

Time For Inspiration

To laugh, is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep, is to  risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another, is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings, is to risk expressing one's true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd, is to risk loss.
To love, is to risk not being loved in return.
To live, is to risk dying.
To hope, is to risk despair.
To try at all, is to risk failure.
But risk we must, because the great hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The man, the woman, who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.

Leadership And You (Part 6)

Just as we like to be respected, we must respect others if we want them to listen to what we have to say. "Season it with salt" means that we say should be "tasty" and should encourage further dialogue.

You And Your Spirit (Part 24)

God designed you with a purpose to do great things. Your job is to figure out what that purpose is. In many cases, you have to connect with the voice of God to have him direct you.

God's voice is not huge. It's not a thunderclap or a bomb bursting in air. It is a still small voice that lies within you. It is calm and quiet. God's voice is always talking to you. It says things like:

  • You are in good hands.
  • That your life is unfolding as it should.
  • That life is worth living.
  • That you must love what you do and who you are.
  • How to be true to yourself.
  • How to be true to your calling.
  • How to share your gifts with others.
How to use your gifts is up to you. It's about the legacy that you choose to leave to others.

You are ordained by God to give your best to the world.

Back Off

Admit it. We've ALL done it. It's tempting to force an issue when we don't know what to do. You try really hard to figure something out. You eventually realize, This is not working. You're not giving it your best shot.

It seems ironic to do it gently; but that is usually the better way to approach it. When you're pressured, your wisdom is obstructed. But as you "ease up," the ideas flow.

The truth of the matter is that our minds are more creative when we can relax. The message is simple: BACK OFF!
