Public Speaking (Part 10)

When you practice your speech, practice your smile and try some (spontaneous) animation. We all have a style and practice, gives you a chance to get it all together! Audiences want to feel you. You'd be amazed at how people "pick up" on what you project!

Eye-contact is another important area. Periodically, scan your audience and meet their gaze. Watch what happens!

You And Your Spirit (Part 10)

It's important to remember that spirituality is a PROCESS! It's a continuous journey. It's an ever-unraveling mystery that is never solved. Spirituality clarifies your thoughts and addresses your feelings. It's about locating your inner-truth. On the day you were born, a DIVINE seed was planted. It contained your LIFE PURPOSE and ALL that makes you UNIQUE. Spirituality is all about nurturing that seed, and seeing it FLOURISH!

It's About Conflict!

Sweeping conflict under the rug doesn't work. It must be dealt with, and must be done intentionally, and with a PURE heart. It gets worse when you leave it alone. Work it out at ONCE! If not, it festers and  turns into bitterness. Make a point of stepping into the other person's shoes and see it through their eyes. When you understand the other person's viewpoint; the less conflict you'll have.

What's the best way to deal with it? Well, you have to take the time to listen to a person. The more you listen, the better the perspective.

Public Speaking (Part 9)

Audiences tune in to body language (or your nonverbal communication). They pay attention to your facial expressions, gestures and physical appearance. Nonverbal missteps can alienate you from your  audience.

You And Your Spirit (Part 9)

Spiritual mentors aren't extraordinary. They are ordinary people leading ordinary, spiritual lives. What qualifies them as a  mentor is their willingness to honestly (and openly) share their lives. The best spiritual mentors offer you a place to be yourself. In return, they give you the same authenticity. A spiritual mentor doesn't lecture you. They simply share their life's journey with you.
