BUSY-NESS

Is life passing you by? Are you looking around and noticing that other people are having the FUN that you crave? I LQQK at moments like that as a red flag. That's "code" for "pay attention."

Many of us miss out on what's important in our lives because we're convinced that our "busy-ness," is important. We're deceived that we WILL be able to do EVERYTHING on our "to do" list. Nothing is further from the truth. Look at Princess Diana; gone in a BLINK! We can learn a LOT from her (and others).

As hard as it is, we need to learn how to "unplug" from our "busy-ness." We need to strive for BALANCE. I don't think many of us will think, "I wasn't busy enough," when we're faced with a health/personal crisis. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Do I really need to be THIS busy and multi-task?
  2. What's the worst thing that'll happen if I make time for me?
When you've answered those questions HONESTLY, ask yourself when you'll start living a life that incorporates YOU, and NOT your BUSY-NESS!

Reduce Your Accent (Part 3)

Have an accent or a dialect that is holding you back at work, or in your social life? Here are 2 tips that can change that!


  1. Pay attention to word endings! Pronounce the ending of each word.
  2. Read aloud! Read aloud in English. This could be a novel or the newspaper. Do this for about 15 minutes a day. This will help you strengthen the muscles needed to make certain sounds. Research shows that it takes about three  months of daily practice, to develop strong mouth muscles for speaking a new language.

Dance Now!

Are you stuck in a rut? Do you feel like life is passing you by? Do you think that other people have YOUR life? Maybe it's time to get back to being a little kid! Think about it. When you were younger, you amused yourself and found WONDER and FUN, in the smallest things.

Can you relate to any of this? >> Catching bugs, jumping in puddles, playing hide and seek, making a tent (or forts) with blankets, making Play-Doh snakes, flying a kite, finger painting, or going to the park and getting on a swing.

Learn something from people who died. Princess Diana comes to mind. Taken so young -- in the prime of her life.

Turn up the VOLUME of your life! Live each day as if it's your LAST. It's time to dance, DANCE NOW!
